The Go! Team drop new single + tour dates!

The Go! Team return from a three-year break with their new single ‘Buy Nothing Day’, released today.  Bursting on to the scene with 2004’s Thunder, Lightening, Strike, the band proved they were real contenders by fusing together every musical style they could get their hands on.  From electro and hip hop, to funk, northern soul and garage, it was this genre smashing ability that got them nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2005.

After a relentless tour schedule and follow up album Proof Of Youth, the band decided to take a well-deserved time out.  Three years later and the The Go! Team are all rested up and ready to pick up where they left off.  Rolling Blackouts, due to hit shelves on January 31st, marks their return to the game and this time they’ve invited a few friends along for the ride.  Expect guest appearances from Deerhoof’s Satomi Matsuzaki, hotly tipped Tampa rapper Dominique Young Unique and French bedroom based charmer Lispector.

Check out the new single and tour details after the jump.
