NEWS: A Place To Bury Strangers to play Manchester’s The Ruby Lounge

American noise rock band A Place To Bury Strangers have announced details of a brief UK tour that will see them play one of Manchester’s most intimate venues. The band will arrive at The Ruby Lounge on September 16th as the penultimate date on their five date UK trek. They’ll kick things off in Brighton on September 12th before playing Cambridge, Sheffield and bringing things to a close in London on September 17th.

Hailing from New York, the trio recently released their new record Worship, a self-produced follow up to 2009’s Exploding Head. Discussing the decision to produce the album themselves, bassist Dion Lunadon had this to say: “This album was written, recorded, mixed and mastered by A Place To Bury Strangers. It is our vision of what our music should sound like in 2012, not someone else’s interpretation.”As a result, Worship is an atmospheric offering, boasting shoegaze sensibilities and a laid-back wall of sound confidence.
