San Francisco folk-rock duo Two Gallants will revisit Manchester this July after returning from a brief hiatus. Back in 2008, guitarist/singer Adam Stephens and drummer Tyson Vogel announced they would go their separate ways in order to work on other projects. In September 2010 Stephens released a solo album entitled We Live On Cliffs but it wasn’t long before rumblings of a Two Gallants reunion began.
Proof that you should never judge a book by its cover, what Two Gallants lack in band members they more than make up for in pure intensity and skill. These guys were flying the new-folk flag long before it was back on the upswing via bands like Mumford & Sons and The Avett Brothers – 2011 will be their time to shine.
