NEWS: NOFX to play Manchester HMV Ritz in June

Fans may have had to wait a very long time but NOFX are finally returning to Manchester. These punk-rock legends will be heading over to the UK this summer for a rare string of dates including a stop at Download Festival in Donington Park. Having initially announced just a handful of shows, a stop at Manchester’s HMV Ritz and an additional gig at London’s Shepherd’s Bush were soon added to the bill. This will be the first time the band have stepped foot on stage in Manchester since they arrived at Academy 1 back in 2004.

Fronted by Fat Wreck Chords founder Fat Mike, this highly influential punk rock act have been a staple of the alternative music scene for over a decade whilst never selling out. As a result, NOFX have eluded major record label contracts despite being a firm fan-favourite. The band are currently working on the follow up to 2009’s Coaster and have been demoing new tracks at recent shows. Perhaps Mancunian crowds will be treated to some new material this June. Always controversial and always fun, if you’re a fan of hard-core punk rock then you’d be a fool to miss out on NOFX’s UK stint. Full tour dates can be found after the jump.
