NEWS: The Killers’ drummer Ronnie Vannucci brings side project Big Talk to Manchester

The Killers’ drummer Ronnie Vannucci brings his side project band Big Talk to Manchester Academy later this month.  The stadium skin beater is due to release Replica, the second single from his critically well-received self titled debut.  The video for this slow building rock track unveils Vannucci’s Big Talk bandmates for the first time and features a cameo from Weezer’s Matt Sharp who also lends a hand on the album.

This tour comes after a mammoth stretch of recording and touring with his day job band The Killers.  After deciding it was time to take some much needed time off, it wasn’t long until Vannucci became restless and decided to step into the frontman shoes. “It’s such a departure from what I’m used to, but now, having done it, it feels like the right thing to do,” he explains, “I can’t sit on a couch very long!”

Big Talk’s debut album was recorded at The Killers’ Las Vegas recording earlier this year and was helmed by The Strokes producer Joe Chicarelli. You can catch Big Talk in Manchester’s intimate Academy 3 later this month.  Full tour details can be found below.
