Top 6: Best places for bottomless brunch in Manchester City Centre

Make your brunch that little bit more interesting

We’re sure by now you have heard of the bottomless brunch craze that has taken over restaurants across the UK. The only place where it is totally acceptable to be rather tipsy in the early afternoon. Manchester is no exception, which is why we have chosen some top destinations for a unique brunch at different price points. So, whether you’re on a budget or want to go all out, these are the venues you’ll want to make a note of.

Lost cat

Right in the centre of the Northern Quarter, behind the greenery out front, is one of the finest locations for brunch in Manchester city centre. Head on through the florist forest to this funky little restaurant. Lost Cat is the only place in Manchester that offers bottomless hashbrowns and pancakes for the affordable price of £25 per person. Total bargain if you ask us. So, get your skates on and book a table – this brunch is a popular one.

Bring a maximum of eight mates and gather round a cosy booth for a selection of tasty brunch sliders that include a morning breakfast stack, a bacon bagel, fried chicken French toast and smoked salmon toast. However, you only have 90 minutes to fill your boots, so make the most of these unlimited snacks and cocktails. Speaking of which, cocktails here include the classic Mimosa and Bloody Mary alongside some unique Lost Cat specials including the Italian Thug for fruity fans which features a gin, watermelon syrup, Campari, vermouth, and soda concoction. Overall, if you’re hungry and recently lost your cat, come and find it at this Manchester spot.

The Firehouse

The Firehouse provides a truly idyllic backdrop with low-hanging lights and tall ceilings accompanied by big glass windows. This, along with the food, makes it a great location to enjoy a chilled and leisurely brunch on a sunny day or even a dreary one. Bottomless brunch at The Firehouse is available every Saturday between 11am and 4pm. All you have to do is choose a main from their brunch menu and pay an extra £25 per person to go bottomless – it’s as simple as that – and you have the option to go bottomless on cocktails, spritz, Prosecco and beer.

As well as this, The Firehouse has been highly commended for its fresh bakes. These include their sticky honey butter buns with warm honey sauce and their pillowy pittas. We highly recommend you order the honey buns to share and their breakfast pitta as your main (a warm pitta loaded with all your full English faves). Their delicious house sourdough toast and smoothie bowls are also up for grabs on the brunch menu. Ultimately, The Firehouse provides both a great venue and atmosphere, so take a trip to this bright and lively venue for a bite to eat. Sidenote: The Firehouse provides the best lighting, so don’t forget to send a foodie snap to your mates to make them jealous.

The Pen and Pencil

At The Pen and Pencil they do bottomless brunch a little differently – they go all out. This modern and artsy venue wants to ensure that you get great value for money. Their brunch only takes place on the last Saturday of every month, so catch it while you can. At the higher-end price of £45 per person, you are guaranteed a high-quality selection of bottomless food along with your drinks. Yes, the food is bottomless too – they certainly want you to go home full. They can accommodate groups of 10-20 so if there is a big birthday or special occasion on your calendar, we highly recommend this venue.

Among their many delicious dishes, they also have more unique options including the Mexican bean muffin which consists of a black bean patty, chimichurri, rocket and sundried tomatoes finished with some fresh chilli, all on a grilled breakfast muffin – a great choice for the veggie lovers out there. If beautifully presented and flavoursome food is what you’re looking for, sit amongst the exposed brick and one-of-a-kind artwork at The Pen and Pencil.

On The Hush

This vibrant location is just outside the Northern Quarter and THE place to get great food and pics for the gram. With graffiti walls, cherry blossom trees and a classic London phone box, every wall brings a unique backdrop. On The Hush’s bottomless brunch consists of a main and bottomless alcoholic or soft drinks for £35 per person. This can also be upgraded by adding a side or dessert at an added cost. Here, they provide a wide selection of brunch options from bacon and blueberry pancakes to smokey tomato gnocchi. There really is a unique mix of breakfast and lunch dishes.

From the fun presentation to the taste, On The Hush cocktails are also worth the mention. For example, the Cinderella sharer cocktail has pink gin, lemon and cranberry juice topped with unicorn syrup and grenadine served in your very own glass slipper – a drink fit for a gin-loving princess. Aside from the unique drinks, the atmosphere itself is great, as you can tuck into your food and drinks while listening to a live DJ. This makes On The Hush the best place to get you and your mates in the mood for the night out ahead.

Fress

This one is for the spontaneous as no booking is required for Fress and their bottomless brunch is available every day of the week. Just order any main off the brunch or lunch menu then pay an extra £15 to go bottomless per person. This sleek diner puts a spin on your usual brunch snacks as their in-house chefs mix sweet with savoury. Think a full English on a stack of sweet fluffy pancakes or a poached egg on homemade waffles. If that hasn’t made you hungry, another one of their one-of-a-kind mains is their brekkie tacos. These consist of three pancakes loaded with scrambled egg and pork sausage, sprinkled with bacon dust. A real treat for the tastebuds.

This place is known for its plentiful portions but if you do have room for dessert, Fress has a counter full of goodies available to take away. These are freshly made and include slices of cake, cookie pies and brownies. For such a small venue, this place certainly has a lot to offer.

Dirty Martini

Come and get your halo dirty at Dirty Martini Manchester and try their famous bottomless brunch. Here, they provide a selection of bottomless cocktails, gin and tonic, Prosecco, beer, and brunch for 90 minutes, all for the price of £37.50 per person. This bottomless brunch is totally unique as they put a spin on the usual brunch presentation. This is because the food is served in their brunch birdcages giving an afternoon tea vibe, with each layer displaying different goodies. It doesn’t stop there; their burger buns are particularly unusual thanks to their pink, blue and green colourings, making this brunch one of the most photogenic in the city.

The birdcage brunch changes seasonally and comes in three forms, standard, vegetarian/vegan, and gluten free. Food options are more on the lunch side as the standard brunch includes mini beef and chicken burgers, mac and cheese bites and vegetable spring rolls. As well as this, it wouldn’t be Dirty Martini without some unique martini options including a watermelon martini, passionfruit and vanilla, and the classic espresso martini – however, these may change depending on the season.
